The BritBox Brits

I would say that all good things must come to an end but this podcast has only existed for 3 weeks! Unfortunately, my co-host's priorities have changed and this was never designed to be a one-man show. So, The BritBox Brits is officially going on an indefinite hiatus.

Join Jon as he dips his toe into the wealth of British royal documentaries tucked away on BritBox UK and offers up a recent example of why this quietly growing subgenre on the service should perhaps be appreciated just a little bit more.

Don't Panic and always remember your towel! Join Jon as he rambles on for 10 minutes about why Douglas Adams' 1981 TV adaptation of his magnum opus is actually more than just irreverent science fiction and may actually make you think a little.

The BritBox UK recommendation series returns. This time, Jon takes a look at The Beiderbecke Trilogy - one of Alan Plater's true masterpieces that may have unfortunately been lost in the endless shuffle of the streaming content churn for many. Listen as Jon explains why this unique mixture of comedy and thriller deserves a second look!

No matter how good or bad BritBox UK is as a service, one dark accusation follows it everywhere - is it a scam paid for with the TV license by the BBC? In this latest mini, Jon looks at the UK ownership situation and whether the content is truly "free money" for the companies who commissioned it.

Before The Crystal Maze, there was The Adventure Game! Join Jon for an impromptu BritBox Brits Mini as he explains why one of BritBox UK's latest surprises deserves more credit than it gets as a true pioneer of its genre.

Jon flies solo in an ongoing series of "bitesize" recommendation episodes. Following the passing of Micheal Apted on January 7th, we take a quick look at the groundbreaking documentary 7 Up and its lifetime-spanning followups.

Join us for our first, very rough-and-ready podcast. What a day to pick for our inaugural outing as BritBox UK unleashed a truckload of cosy kids TV nostalgia
