Halloween is TOMORROW and it is one of mine and Brooke's FAVORITE holidays! We go all out every year! Join us this episode to talk all things Halloween! We discuss past costumes as kids, epic fail costumes, our favorites, and Halloween as adults. Plus, hear how we're celebrating Halloween in 2020! 

How often do you find yourself asking for help? Whether is be personally or professionally. For us, sadly, it's like hardly a part of our vocabulary and we've noticed it's a HUGE problem! Asking for help has quickly fallen out of many women's vernacular. Women are expected to do it all AND do it all alone. Asking for help has now become a sign of weakness; a sign of failure. So we don't do it. We don't ask for a helping hand or even ask for a moment to ourselves when we desperately need it. We allow ourselves to hit our breaking point and sometimes EVEN THEN we still don't ask for help. We have become expected to be super humans, defying all odds and managing the impossible. It's time to stop and rejoin the normal humans again. We need to stop allowing this expectation rob us of our mental health! Join us this week as we discuss this humungus cloud of stress and guilt and how we can overcome it.

How many times in the day do you find yourself saying "I'm sorry" for things that you truly have no need to apologize for? Have you lost count? Yeah, so have we, and we're sick of it! There's just some things that we shouldn't feel obligated to apologize for anymore. As women, it's almost as if we're engrained to apologize for our beliefs, values, boundaries, choices, feelings and even for just being ourselves. It's ridiculous the pressure and expectations of perfection we put on ourselves and we want to challenge you to STOP apologizing for the things that don't warrant an apology. We set ourselves up to just assume we've done something wrong or that we're going to offend someone. We're working on breaking this bad habit, join us! 

So I had an episode dedicated to getting to know my Co-Host, Brooke. She decided to do the same for me! I let her have full and free-reign with this one and I was left completely in the dark. She got my husband, Anthony, in on it, and we even had a little fun conversation with her husband, John, and a LOT of laughs.

I can't lie, this was pretty damn fun and got pretty emotional, believe it or not! My man can sure dish out the compliments and I was NOT prepared for that part at all! This was definitely a fun episode to record and I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little bit more as well as getting a little look into my and Anthony's relationship!

June 24th marked the THREE YEAR friendiversary for us! We had plans to record this episode and release it on that day to celebrate, however, life happened and it just didn't work out. We didn't want to just trash the idea or have to wait until next year, so we just said, "What the hell! Let's do it!" 

Our friendship means so much to us both and our connection and experiences is what sparked us doing this podcast, so it only seems right to share the story of how we became an "US." We also talk about how we make it work since we live nearly 2,000 miles away from each other. It's not easy, but no relationship is. We just have a few more obstacles in our way that we refuse to allow to stand in our way!

Here's the thing, we can't control social media or even what's happening in the world today, but we CAN control how we react and even whether or not  we choose to accept OURSELVES.  We understand so much how much pressure there is to look, act, and practically BE perfect. It's exhausting and very unobtainable. For anyone. We keep telling ourselves that we NEED to look a certain way rather than needing to FEEL a certain way, and it has to stop. The illusion of perfection is all around us at every turn, especially on social media, but reality is staring at us in the mirror and through the eyes of those we choose to share our lives with. Let's choose to accept our bodies and LOVE ourselves. Join us in our challenge to #PostTheOriginal - that will be explained in the episode! We hope you enjoy!  

We've all been there, right? The majority of us have whispered to ourselves, "Omg, if I only knew that back when I was twenty-something!" Ohhh to be able to go back and tell your younger self a thing or two.. or twenty! Brooke and I can definitely say we absolutely love where our lives have taken us, but if we could have gotten here with a little less heartache, we'd definitely take the opportunity! Since we can't possibly go back in time, we feel the next best thing is to share what we've learned with you guys! Hopefully some of the lessons we've learned the hard way reaches a few of you who can take some notes that can help you along the way or reshape some choices or ideas you might have for the better! We didn't really have a specific direction or topic for this episode. We just decided not to force anything and see where our conversations took us and we weren't disappointed! We even had a surprise appearance from Brooke's husband, John! That tidbit of the conversation got really weird really quick! Oh, and SPOILER ALERT!
