The Broad Street Line

It's Schedule Release Day in the NBA? Thanks in no small part to the arrival of LEBRON JAMES, the Philadelphia 76ers will play on (or around) every holiday on the calendar this year. After we talk Sixers, we'll give Russell Westbrook his flowers, and debate what you should do if you pull the $2 million Cooper Flagg card.

Jaylen Brown has been formally introduced as a Philadelphia 76er, Joel Embiid seems to be in great shape, Kevin Love is rumored to join the squad... everything is coming up roses for the Sixers these days. But there's more than basketball to discuss as we're less than 6 weeks away from the start of the NFL season... GO BIRDS

Ladies and gentlemen... we got him.

Is LeBron ever going to make a decision? Who the hell knows. But, in the interim, we have plenty to talk about, including Rich Paul's statement that Allen Iverson was a bigger celebrity than either Kobe Bryant or Shaquille O'Neal. Later in the show, we explain how owning an NFL team is basically like owning a money-printing machine.

FOMO (Fear of missing out) is something that usually declines with age, but is there a little bit of envy and/or jealousy towards the folks who were lucky enough to see Jay-Z this past weekend? We discuss that, continue to wait out LeBron, give Philly its flowers for an amazing All-Star Weekend, and debate yet another set of preseason NFL lists.

Philadelphia is officially on #LeBronWatch, but what are the chances that he actually lands with the Sixers? We debate that as we continue to revel in the fact that Mike Gansey was able to pull Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics. Later in the show, we discuss the CBS Sports list of the Top 100 players in the NFL.

A week ago, Paul George had one of the most untradeable contracts in the NBA. This week, he was dealt to the Boston Celtics... for All-NBA wing Jaylen Brown. It's amazing how much can change in 7 days. Speaking of change... is more on the horizon for the Philadelphia 76ers as they officially throw their hat in the LeBron James sweepstakes?

After a not-so-brief detour to the world of video games, the guys finall get around to talking about the important issues of the week: DeVonta Smith's wedding and what Jeffery Simmons' contract means for Jalen Carter. The crew very briefly touches on this past Tuesday's NBA draft before making bold statements when it comes to Saturday's WWE Night of Champions card.

Is Jalen Hurts unhappy? He may be according to the latest article from Bleeding Green Nation and, to be fair, the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback is well within his rights to be a little peeved. Speaking of QBs, we take a guess at whether Howie Roseman might dip his toes into the Brendan Sorsby pool.

The Philadelphia Eagles are officially done with their OTAs... so what did we learn about the Birds as they head into minicamp? The rookies didn't practice much, Jalen Carter is kinda sorta holding in, and the backup QB is... Andy Dalton? Later in the show, since we're the only program in Philly that can have fun when it comes to the Knicks, we break down all of the folks who were fortunate enough to make it to "Celebrity Row" at The Garden.
