The Broad Street Line

Special guest Marc Farzetta of NBC Sports Philadelphia joined us LIVE on The Broad Street Line to discuss his time at Temple, his wild career in sports media and LOTS more! Tune in to hear A TON of behind-the-scenes stories, including what it was like in the Sunday Night Football production truck the moment the Philly Special went down...

The Jones Fracture Curse strikes the Sixers once again.... but that won't stop the local basketball team from being the star of the national TV scene later this season. And after the crew talks basketball, they'll recap an emotional weekend in Canton, OH.

As Philadelphia Eagles legend Brian Dawkins prepares for his turn in the sun at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, The Broad Street Line crew tells you what you can expect to go down in Canton. But, more importantly, Kris and Roy also give well deserved kudos to LeBron James for doing more for education in America than the Secretary of Education.

It's hitting season at Philadelphia Eagles' training camp, but should we be concerned that Carson Wentz hasn't been involved in 11-on-11 activity at all this week? We answer that question, grade the Phillies' moves at the trade deadline, and take a way-too-early look at the card for SummerSlam...

Tiger Woods is in the hunt at The Open Championship and the Philadelphia Eagles officially begin their Super Bowl defense - does it get any better than this? Later in the show, the crew debates the ongoing anthem controversy, and take a certain "analyst" to task for his trash QB rankings.

The NFL can't get out of its own way when it comes to their anthem policy... we discuss what needs to happen next before the $40 million commissioner gets called out again on Twitter. Later in the show, The Broad Street Line crew debates whether or not the Philadelphia 76ers got better this summer.

The Sixers don't get Kawhi, but... they were involved in a deal for Carmelo Anthony! We'll talk about the local basketball team's non-moves this summer, and we'll recap the latest in WWE, including the return of the racist owner of Gawker Media.

Sivad Davis of The Tissue In The Tape podcast joins the crew to share some insight (and hope) on the puzzling situation surrounding Kawhi Leonard. But before the basketball talk begins, the trio debates Chase Utley's Hall of Fame credentials in light of some recent news.

After The Broad Street Line crew explains how the new NFL drug policy rewards snitching, they marvel at the immediate impact of sports betting, get excited of the prospect of a Tiger Woods/Phil Mickelson clash, and explore the Sixers' Plan C when it comes to star hunting.

The last 365 days have been pretty wild on the Philadelphia sports scene, and on a special edition of The Broad Street Line - LIVE at the 2018 Philadelphia Podcast Festival - we recap the past 12 months as only we can. Media consultant and Undefeated contributor O.J. Spivey joins the crew to provide his unique take on the wild world of sports media.
