As they all get entangled and not quite disentangled with each other, it becomes apparent they are seeking only in typical Dick fashion to live more or less happily - if not ever after, then at least for a while. Modest as it may seem, it is an ambition very difficult to achieve.

Literary PKD

Great little tale for fans of PKD's rejected mainstream novels of the 1950s. Vivid details of 1956 about a disc jockey and his ex-wife becoming involved with science fiction fan and his wife.

More than a wast of a credit

I just finished listening to this book, and just realized that it was more than a wast of a credit. It was a complete wast of my time. This book was not like anything else I've read from Philip Dick. It is a story about a man and his ex wife, and a young couple that live in San Francisco. About their dealings and misdealings with one another.

Then as a small side story with a conspiracy theory nut, and an unrelated convention tossed in for filler.

Oh ya, I almost forgot. The conventioneers pay a stripper to get in a clear plastic bubble and roll around the floor in a hotel room.
