The Brook Reading Podcast

This week, on a shorter than usual episode of the Brook Reading Podcast, I let Tim Curry and the cast of the cult classic "Clue" help me explain the plot twists and "red herrings" of the children's novel, "The Westing Game".

Today, after filling my belly with matzoh and chocolate bunnies, I review the novel "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant.  I quote and discuss passages from the Bible, introduce a new segment called the "5 Minute Rant", and pontificate on motherhood.  Thanks for listening!

This week, we discuss my top ten most influential female authors, the difference between feminism and female centric, and I reveal the meanings behind one of my tattoos.  Also, I apparently know lots about biology!

Today, we tackle the vices of 13 influential presidents, from George Washington's penchant for wine to Barack Obama's rules of toking up.  We also meet "JJ", learn a recipe for a marijuana-infused martini, and close our conversation to "Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing".

This week, we meet Jane, an astute, quirky 14 year old, and watch as she learns how to maneuver relationships, womanhood, and her own self-worth.  We get a little heavy, but as always, we have a few laughs, share a few stories, and drop a few F-bombs.  Enjoy!

Today, we get into "1984" by George Orwell.  I discuss my hatred for Julia, a little Bowie, a little Manson, and a lot of, well, pauses for blowing my nose.  (Sorry!)
