Society has a serious problem with absent men. Many fathers aren't there for their families and it is being reported regularly that men are absent from relationships, social institutions like childcare, schools and other support settings. South Africa for eg has the lowest marriage rate on the African continent and the second highest rate of father absence in Africa after Namibia. Why is this the case and why is the absent father figure so prevalent in black society when compared to other races?
