  • Episode 54: Go Hokies! A trip to Blacksburg, Virginia
In this episode, I interview Rick on his escapades down in Blacksburg, Virginia. Blacksburg is home to Virginia Tech. It's a small mountain town nestled into the hills of Southwest Virginia. At first glance, the infrastructure may allude that this is a small sleepy town, but it packs a powerful punch of Hokie Faithfuls! Rick was in town visiting one of our childhood friends at Va Tech. Enjoy as Rick recounts his weekend full of golf, bars, pregrame festivities and of course Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech. Enjoy the show!

  • Episode 53: NYC Marathon
A little different episode here but an absolute beauty nonetheless. Enjoy this episode as Rick and myself chop it up about our experience to have ran the NYC Marathon back in 2016. It is a very historic marathon and arguably the most attended marathon in the country an maybe the world. We had a blast running, jogging and walking LOL the streets of New York City on a crisp November day back in 2016. It is a very cool experience and previous to COVID, it was a PARTY in the streets with bands lined up on every corner in Brooklyn blasting music and rows deep of people slapping high fives to random strangers as they power their way to the finish line in beautiful Central Park. It was a memory Rick and I look back and smile so enjoy!

  • Episode 52: MLB Network's Adnan Virk talking sports, movies and Jersey!
In this amazing episode of The Brothers Brandt Podcast we catch up with legendary iconic sportscaster, and friend of the pod, Adnan Virk, who’s most prominent and current position has been on the MLB Network breaking down America's Pastime (Major League Baseball) with the game’s best. Adnan also produces and hosts his own podcast centered around cinema news and another podcast called The GM Shuffle with former NFL executive, Michael Lombardi. Adnan worked for ESPN from 2010 to 2019 where he starred on Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter, Outside The Lines, and several College Football shows. We met Adnan in 2017 in Atlanta and he was incredibly kind. One of the true ‘good guys’ in the industry and a father of four. Throughout this episode we of course talk sports with Adnan. We also dive into his career’s success, movie interests, and what it’s like for him now living in our home state of New Jersey, and what his favorite sports memories are.

  • Episode 51: THE MASTERS... A tradition unlike any other!
It may be the fall of 2020 as the Masters Kicks Off, but it will always be Masters Week around the golfing world. The leafs may be brown and red, there will be no colorful azaleas, no patrons, no concessions and no roars for Tiger at Augusta National this week, but the Masters is always the Masters. The Green Jacket is always the Green Jacket. And, Sunday will be Sunday at the Masters with Jim Nantz echoing on the TV. Rick and I have had the privilege of going to the Masters in 2016 and 2017. Rick went the following year in 2018. And we both went last year in 2019 to watch arguably the greatest come back in Masters History as Tiger Woods roared back to win the Masters in epic fashion. It was an incredible memory of a lifetime for us. We both watched Tiger put in to win the Green Jacket on 18. Wow! Chills still run down my arms when I think of that magic day. Enjoy this episode as we dive deep into the history of the Masters and share our stories of being at the Masters. We look forward to watching Sunday and heading down to Augusta in 2021. God Bless and enjoy your Sunday.

  • Episode 50: San Diego Chargers and Road Trip Recap!
Tune into this episode to hear how our 10 game 10 day road trip on the West Coast ended. We capped off the trip in beautiful sunny San Diego California watching the Chargers (now of Los Angeles) battle the Browns in a wire to wire thriller. It was a great game with great company. Our dear friend from back in NJ who was stationed in SD with the Navy, Jack Shinnick, played host extraordinaire and teammate on this game. We had a blast. We recapped the trip, so keep listening to hear our TOP 10 moments and give advice to you listeners on your road trips.

  • Episode 49: UCLA Bruins and The Rose Bowl
Game 9 of the road trip takes a special, iconic venue: The Rose Bowl! The Rose Bowl is rich with history dating back to the turn of the century. We were just as excited to see the Bruins play as we were to walk along the historic bleachers at this venue. This venue is super cool because it located in almost like a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It's not in a MAJOR city so it has this unique charm to it. It is famous for the Rose Bowl (game) which hosts the champion of the Big Ten and the Champion of the Pac 12, an east vs. west battle. This usually decided the champion in college football previous to other major bowl game and now the College Football Playoffs. It also hosted so many Super Bowls and now it hosts the Bruins of UCLA for all their home football games. It was a beautiful night in Pasadena and we got to witness a massive upset of UCLA. The Sun Devils of ASU upset Chosen Rosen (Josh Rosen) and the Bruins that Saturday night. But nonetheless, we had a blast. Next up San Diego!!

  • Episode 47: SD Padres, Petco Park and Trevor Hoffman
We are on cruise control ladies and gents. The stories just keep flowing like Niagara Falls. In this episode, we hurry down to San Diego from Los Angeles to see the Padres battle the Brew Crew. It was a lack luster game at best considering both teams were no where near contention for the playoffs. You get some of these meaningless games within a 10 game 10 day road trip but you do it for much more than the game itself. It is the experience of seeing a new city, walking the concourse of a stadium you only see on TV from time to time, embracing the history and the niches of each place with people you enjoy hanging with. And in some crazy bizarre circumstances you end up meeting, shaking hands, taking pics with and connecting with a LEGENDARY HALL OF FAME PITCHER by the name of Trevor Hoffman. Trevor Hoffman pitched almost his entire career with the Padres and just so happened to be chilling on the field while Rick and I were doing our stadium tour... and when you see someone like Hoffman on the field, you are not going to pass up the opportunity to shake the hand of legend, my friends. I was told a long time ago that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. We did not want to live the rest of our lives just saying what if we went to talk to Trevor Hoffman so we took the shot... take the shot folks take the shots.

  • Episode 46: The Angels in the Outfield
Here we are day 6 of our epic sports road trip down the west coast. We started in Oregon, moved up to Seattle, jumped down to San Fran and are making our way to warmer weather and the city of angels. After watching Calyton Kershaw through a complete game 1 hitter to help the Dodgers clinch the NL West, we drove to Anaheim to see the Angels play the Oakland A's. The game itself had little excitement due to both teams were not in the playoff push, however it was very cool to see the Angels stadium and waterfalls. Also, it was an opportunity to watch two future hall of famers play: Albert Pujols and New Jersey native Mike Trout. Rick and myself did a stadium tour and we grabbed good intel on where to "upgrade" our seats to. Again folks, never and I mean never pay the hundreds of dollars for front row seats when you can just buy the nosebleeds for $20 and move down like we did. We ended up watching an exciting 8-7 finish from about 10-15 rows back behind the first base dugout. Enjoy this quick episode as we highlight the Los Angeles Angels, their stadium and history!
