The Bruce Parrish Story continues through an abbreviated college experience and time in the military. After a number of misadventures, he finally makes his way to Florida.

Bruce tells about his childhood and early life experiences, including the death of his mother and his conversion to Christianity. Along the way, he learns the importance of telling the truth and how—at least with some problems— "nature will take care of things."
