In chapter 1 of Philippians, Paul communicates the idea to the church of "Don't worry about me." Chapter 2 therefore communicates, "Well, if you insist on doing something... do the following." Philippians 1:27-30

Our faith in Christ is indeed a matter of life and death. When we settle the issue of our death, the issues of our lives become easier. We begin with the end in mind. Today's message from Philippians 1 shows our need to share in Paul's reasons to rejoice, reasons to live, readiness to die, and resolve to impact.

Your circumstances are your prison and your life is your letter. What does you life communicate to others?

In this, the first sermon in a series from Philippians, we find a great text of first things. Paul has some specific things to address so he begins this epistle with an exhortation to some important priorities by way of prayer and greetings for the recipients of this letter - A way of "warming them up" for some tougher things he has to say to them.
