In this episode of the Buckeye Weekly Podcast, Tony Gerdeman and Tom Orr have a livestream watch-along of the latest release of the College Football Playoff rankings. The Buckeyes have fallen three spots to No. 5. Does that mean they're out of the playoff picture? Not at all. The fellas discuss what needs to happen for OSU to get back in, as well as a couple of crazier options that could feature some fantastic conference matchups in the semifinals. They also answer a handful of questions throughout the show from livestream viewers.

In this episode of the Buckeye Weekly Podcast, Tom Orr and Tony Gerdeman discuss some recent goings-on around Ohio State and the Big Ten. First, they recap a handful of official visits from players who are committed to other schools. Then they discuss the new coaching hires in the Big Ten with Nebraska and Matt Rhule and Wisconsin and Luke Fickell. Both are good hires, but it begs the question of who the best coach in the Big Ten is now. So Tony and Tom then decide to rank the Big Ten's coaches to see where everybody currently stands.

Saturday's game against Michigan didn't go well for the Buckeyes on the field, but it may end up being a big success on the recruiting front.

Alex Gleitman of BuckeyeHuddle.com joins host Tom Orr to break down what he learned about four of the Buckeyes' biggest visitors on Saturday.

- Are they closer to flipping a 4-star quarterback prospect for 2023?

- Did they do enough to convince 5-star Caleb Downs to flip from Alabama to Ohio State?

- Is DE Joshua Mickens close to flipping from LSU to the Buckeyes?

- Is current commit Jelani Thurman ready to shut down his recruitment and sign with OSU?

In this episode of the Buckeye Weekly Podcast, Tony Gerdeman and Tom Orr give their instant reactions from Ohio State's 45-23 loss to Michigan. The Big Ten title is gone, playoff hopes are fleeting, but even more importantly what does this mean for Ohio State's status in this rivalry? What happened? Why did it happen? And when will it stop happening? Tom and Tony discuss all of this and take several questions from the live viewers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes started out well, but got overwhelmed by a series of big plays from the Michigan offense in a 45-23 loss to the archrival Wolverines.

It was a crushing defeat for the Buckeyes, who thought they had corrected the issues they faced in Ann Arbor in 2021, only to suffer a similar defeat.

Kevin Noon of BuckeyeHuddle.com joins host Tom Orr to break down what went wrong:

- Why do Ryan Day's offenses always seem to fail in the same way in big games?

- Wasn't the defense supposed to be fixed? What happened?

- Can OSU still find its way into the College Football Playoff field?
