  • Are Bayern Ruining The League?
After yet another dominant display in the Der Klassiker, Bayern Munich were crowned champions of the Bundesliga for a record tenth time in a row. This means that Bayern now hold the record (out of the European Leagues) for the most consecutive title wins. This match result came with many side stories, starting with the issue of Lewandowski leaving the club. It is rather strange and disorientating that Bayern haven’t gotten the Polish talismans' signature when Muller, Neuer, and Gnabry are all having talks with the board about contract extensions. With Barcelona leading the race for Lewa’s signature, it could be too little too late for the Bavarian, considering Barce can afford his asking price.

Another story to come from this weekend is that there is an outcry for the league to be restructured, seeing that Bayern have now won 10 leagues in a row. Bayern’s dominance is something of beauty, but with their ever-growing bank account allowing them to purchase any player they wish, should the league step in and restructure itself? Or should there be tighter financial rules, a sliding scale if you will, relating to how much money teams have in the bank?

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, Kres Harrington breaks down Bayer’s impressive win over Dortmund, setting yet another record. Kres also examines Lewandowski’s contract and speaks about Erling Haaland joining Manchester City. Kres also discusses who will get the remaining champions league spots and so much more!

  • “Bayern Are Up Against A Monster”
After a shock defeat in the UEFA Champions League against Spanish outfit Villareal, Bayern Munich have some work to do when they face Unai Emery’s men in the second leg. The Bavarian Giants controlled the first leg having the lion's share of possession, however, Villareal’s single shot on target was enough to down Bayern. The Yellow submarine will be looking to finish things off on Tuesday 12 April, however, Bayern head coach Julian Nagellsmann disagrees. In a recent press conference, Nagelsmann was asked about the recent loss to which his response was: ‘They made one mistake, leaving us alive.’ Bayern are coming off a victory in the league against Ausgberg and any 3 points will provide momentum.

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, DW Sports correspondent and German football expert Kres Harrington explains that the upcoming UCL fixture is do or die for Bayern. Kres Also breaks down Dortmund's injury-struck victory and breaks down a very lopsided Berlin derby!

  • Leipzig Complete The Sweep!
After nearly two years, football stadiums in Germany saw sold-out matches as the restrictions around how many fans can attend live matches were scrapped. This meant that Dortmund's famous ‘yellow wall’ was back in full swing to see the hosts take on a traveling RB Leipzig. Leipzig have managed to turn things around since the appointment of Domenico Tedesco and things would be no different during this fixture. The bulls seemed to be too strong for the home side and inform midfielder Christopher Nkunu was the man running the show yet again, as the young Frenchman had a foot in most of the goals. Haaland was in the matchday squad for this fixture, however, the Norwegian couldn't find his footing. This victory for Leipzig means that they have beaten Dortmund in both fixtures this season.

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, German football expert and DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington breaks down Liepizig' drumming of Borussia Dortmund. Kres also offers a preview of Bayern’s UCL fixture away in Spain against a tough opponent in Villareal.

  • “If He Leaves, My Money Won’t Be On Bayern”
Having scored over 30 goals in the Bundesliga so far this season, Robert Lewandowski doesn’t look like he will be slowing down any time soon, however his time at Bayern Munich could be coming to an end! The 33-year-old Polish striker will most likely not renew his contract with Bayern Munich and on the flip side, the Bavarian giants have not offered a new contract either. Lewandowksi could be setting out to Spain with rumours of Barcelona already offering him some sort of deal, allegedly. If Lewandowksit leaves the Bundesliga, the following question is posed: Will the dynamic of the league change? The answer seems like an obvious yes because where would Bayern be without ‘Lewa’ and his goal-scoring antics? Rumours have it that Bayern are even wanting to introduce a playoff game to make the league more competitive. However only time will tell…

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, DW Sports correspondent and German football expert Kres Harrington breaks down the consequences to the league should Lewandowski leave Bayern. Kres also touches on the Erling Haaland transfer saga and how Dortmund could catch up to Bayern. Kres also speaks about the German side and Hansi Flick.

  • ‘Bayern Need To Pick Themselves Up’

  • Could Lewe Make A ‘Devilish’ Move?
With only one year left on his current deal, Robert Lewandowski's future with Bayern Munich looks to be up in the air. The Polish striker has admitted that he hasn’t made a decision regarding his future with the Bavarian giants. Amidst all the speculation as to where the 33-year-old may feature, the English Premier League seems to be leading the races with the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United, and both Manchester clubs. Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick is a huge fan of the 2021 Ballon d”Or runner up and has been since his time in the Bundesliga. Since United signed the 5-time Ballon d”or winner, Ronaldo hasn’t made a big enough impact which is affecting him personally and it looks like he will leave at the end of the season and provided things go according to plan, Lewandowski could be the ideal replacement

With Bayern Munich keeping a keen eye on Norwegian 'Wunderkind' Erling Haaland, Lewa may be feeling disrespected as it is evident Bayern’s number 9 is in the form of his life having scored 39 goals this season already. If The Haaland deal is successful, we could see Lewa make his move across the Atlantic Ocean to England.

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connecting, German Football expert and DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington clears the air regarding the future of Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski. Kres also elaborates on how football has been affected by the Russia-Ukraine war and how some top teams recently shared the spoils!

  • Where Is Haaland?
Since his big move to the Bundesliga 2 years ago, Norwegian 'wunderkind' Erling Haaland has been in the tabloids ever since and is no stranger to publicity. The 21-year old has been in the news for all sorts of reasons, with the most common being his goal-scoring heroics for Borussia Dortmund. However, the secondary reason is the fact that Haaland is potentially the most sought out player in football right now. The son of Alf-Inge Håland has been linked to the biggest clubs in Europe such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and now Manchester City. The Citizens have opened interest in signing the current Dortmund star as they failed to acquire an out-and-out striker in Harry Kane last season.

On the latest episode of the Bundesliga Connection, German football expert and DW Sports correspondent Kres Harrington breaks down some transfer rumours circulating around Erling Haaland, saying that Haaland’s days at Dortmund are numbered. Kres even goes as far as saying; “I wouldn’t be surprised if Haaland is holding out and won’t be seen in a Dortmund kit again.” Let's also not forget that a few weeks ago, Haaland said to the media that he feels as if Dortmund are pressuring him into making a decision.

  • Are Bayern Beginning To Crumble?
Although Bayern have retained their top spot in the Bundesliga, their performance in recent weeks hasn’t been all too convincing. In some cases, it takes the reigning champions the entirety of the first half to ‘gain traction’ and this could very well be the sound of opening doors to some teams. Their form in the champions league is an example of what's going on at the club with the Bavarian Giants only managing a draw against RB Salzburg. German football expert and DW Sports Kres Harrington says that ‘ with Bayer showing weakness, this is exciting for other teams!’
