Partly cloudy skies and mild temps begin our Monday. There are a few showers in SE Georgia this morning, and a couple of those showers will hang around for the morning commute in spots near I-95. Some rain will drift down the coast into NE Florida, but I don’t anticipate rain being very impactful for the morning commute in Duval. The sea breeze moves inland today, providing the focal point for rain & storms later today. The main areas that will see rain & storms will be along and west of I-95 this afternoon. Drier air takes hold mid-week before wetter weather builds in late week & into the weekend.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Alex is moving near Bermuda today, bringing gusty winds and heavy rain to the island. Alex is expected to weaken to a post-tropical system late tonight/tomorrow. There are no other areas of concern in the Atlantic and no additional development expected over the next five days.
