Beautiful day today -- either side of 80 degrees on Monday in the afternoon

• Much of the work day on Tuesday is fine despite a dry morning cold front... partly cloudy...mild (lower 70s).

• backdoor cold front will bring a surge of northeasterly winds late in the day and into the evening from the northeast. (20-25 mph -- gusts 30+ developing late)

• Will have some scattered showers and winds will become gusty Tuesday night at the beaches creating our local nor'easter conditions

• Scattered rain...perhaps locally heavy...will continue overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday before moving east away from us Wednesday ... though we will be left behind with temps only in the 60s... and breezy onshore winds at area beaches

• Hazards Tuesday night / early Wednesday: Scattered rain... locally heavy at the coast possible... high rip current risk... some beach erosion possible.

First Full Day of Spring!

• Vernal Equinox occurs at 5:58 pm (astronomical spring) ((I think Rich should provide cake))

• Full “worm moon” rises in the east at 7:25 pm… full moon time is 9:43 pm

• Winds less today but still breezy at the coast. Northerly winds at 10-20 mph in gusts

• High rip current risk remains at area beaches today…moderate by Thursday

• High pressure dominates the weather pattern here locally through the weekend

• High pressure to the north… and low pressure riding along a stationary front to our south… creating this wind we will see today in Jacksonville.

• Gusts of 30 + mph at the beaches today

• High rip current risk today and tomorrow at the beaches

• Winds let up somewhat on Wednesday… but still breezy at the coast

• 70 degrees by Thursday… beautiful weekend ahead

• Could see some minor coastal flooding at high tide today with onshore winds and full moon phase on Wednesday (8:04 AM….and 8:30 pm for JAX Beach high tide times)
