Joffy Conolly, Sharanya Menon, and William LaFleur are previous Education and Globalisation (EdGlo) students who were the first event organizers of Burning Questions. They shed light on the founding story of BQ and why and how they went about questioning their basic assumptions about education. They talk about the reasons behind why they designed the event to include dialogic discourse, empowering all stakeholders in the educational communities.

They talk about how they wish to see a future where an event such as BQ, which questions basic assumptions of education, is not seen as out of the ordinary but are seen as the norm. They touch down on the importance of critical thinking, which has been significantly lacking in today's industrialized education systems.

With developing technologies and changing society, it is hard to predict what the future will be like. In this context, we shed light on the past, present, and future of education on how to re-invent education. We bring different perspectives to the table on dealing with issues that are raised about the school context such as assessment, student motivation, and participation in education.
