How do shoes truly impact our feet? How can foot health problems affect other parts of our body? And should we go barefoot?
This week, we welcome Mike and Nick from “The Foot Collective” @thefootcollective, a group of physical therapists and podcasters (The Foot Collective Audio Project), based in Canada, who are focused on improving foot health around the globe. Mike and Nick have amassed a following by spreading awareness for problems you didn't even KNOW shoes could cause.
The Foot Collective (FTC) helps human beings take better care of their feet by.using a combination of social media, their own podcast series, seminars and workshops, and their highly anticipated TFC Foot Nerd Program - an online training platform for other coaches, therapists and doctors to train in proper foot health.
In this episode, we sat down with Mike and Nick to learn more - from the history of shoes and their relationship with society, to how footwear can impact your feet in unexpected ways and even the human body’s adaptability for taking on huge changes… this is an episode you won’t want to miss.
