Bob Cheek is a former politician, published author and successful businessman. At 65 years old, when most people are looking towards retirement Bob found himself running a small local gym at a loss. On a whim and desperate for change he booked himself a flight to the US after identifying an opportunity in a fitness magazine. Fast forward 8 years, Zap fitness and the 24/7 gym concept was introduced in Tasmania. 37 Gyms, 30,000 members and a business eventually sold for over $50 Million dollars, that opportunity worked out. We discuss why you are never too old to reinvent yourself and the hurdles he faced getting his new venture off the ground.
