Sometimes the biggest wins, are made up by the small wins. Going above and beyond can be as simple as smiling, greeting, and delighting the customer when they arrive at your business. Going above and beyond does not have to be a complicated process, or event, just a simple gesture outside your role to greet a customer can be a way to deliver an experience above and beyond what is expected.

Do the hard thing for the customers. Rather than adjusting your business around the marketing, to go after these smaller leads, focus on doing the hard things and get the customer that are right for your business.

Brian Buffini is the author of "The Immigrant Edge", born in Dublin, Ireland, started a training company called Buffini & Company to train and coach Real Estate agents. In this episode, Brian takes us back to a time of growth that really stood out to him. At age 19, he had a terrible accident, with no insurance, no knowledge of how American insurance worked. As these bills began to stack up, he finally took the time to look at them, and started working to pay them off. The big moment for him, was actually a little moment, when he was able to finally pay off the last bill that sat on the mantle place.

JV Crum III is one entrepreneur who has an interesting story. JV Crum is a High Performance Breakthrough Coach, and Host of Conscious Millionaire Podcast and Radio Network.

Growing up JV Crum started out in the entrepreneur world at a very young age, selling boiled peanuts, and mowing lawns. He decided at a very young age that he did not like this lifestyle of selling peanuts, and mowing lawns, and made the commitment to become a millionaire.

One leadership failure that will stifle you, is your lack of vulnerability. In any individual coaching, or group coaching, have the willingness to be vulnerable. Colin Powell answered a reporters question about vulnerability with "Show vulnerability, until you can no longer be vulnerable."

Essentially, show that you're human. If you're cold, you're cold. If you're tired, you're tired. Do so, until you no longer can be due to the seriousness of the situation you're at.

Doing simple things can be beautiful. The mindset you take with you into a job makes a big difference. Even if the job may be a very basic job, if you come in with a mindset that you can learn, and take something away from it, you will find more fulfillment in what you're doing.

Know your limits, but never stop trying to break them! This means to have a realistic understand of where you are, in order to know how far you're capable of going. If you go to the gym, push yourself just a little bit further to sort of reset that expectation within yourself. We're all capable of doing just a little bit more, and with pushing yourself a little more every time, whether in the office, at the gym, or anywhere else, overtime you will grow stronger, and more confident in your capabilities.

For example, a golfer has a higher chance of improving their average in the long run, by focusing on improvements each day, than just having one really good day. Those incremental improvements make for a better overall average long term.

Customer service is key to maintaining, and growing your business. Without happy customers, you will not have returning, or referral customers. Elena shares how she approaches customer service, and what works well with communicating and growing a relationship with them.
