In today’s episode I had the amazing honor to speak with someone I have grown to truly respect. Someone that I learn from and who I am super excited to grow/work with in the very near future. We went into full detail discussing leadership , analyzing how to grow and develop a leader EQ. We talked about how vital empathy is and how big of a role it plays in business overall. We discussed Hiring and the strategy one should take when doing so. We also discussed Compensation and how organizations decide how employees will be paid and valued ; as well as how organizations should view and handle pay raises. It was a true honor . Here’s a bit more about today’s guest! Faswilla Sampson is an organizational change agent. Her portfolio includes health care advocacy, education and research. Sampson is skilled at identifying opportunities for cost savings, developing performance metrics and implementing strategies to increase organizational output. Sampson currently serves as vice president of operations for an international healthcare non-profit in Washington DC. In this role, she helps define the organization’s strategic priorities and programs that bring together stakeholders from research- centers, pharmaceutical, biotech, and patient advocacy communities. Having successfully navigated through her career in the non-profit sector, she now helps colleagues do the same. Sampson, a self-professed millennial and nextgen leader, asserts that leadership skills, at all levels within an organization, is a requirement for the new world of work. She believes that for any organization to be truly impactful requires developing leaders within their organizations now!
