The formality limits the creative. It creates robots out of potentially great people. It champions being similar when all we need is different skills, opinions, and perspectives.
Formality takes the human out of us. I want to speak to everyone I meet like we’ve met down the pub or on a stag do. I want to make friends not associates. I want to get the best out of everyone around me by allowing them to be real. Encouraging them to act with the same level of freedom that got them to where they are.
But what about all the negative opinions of others in the industry?
Be good enough so you don’t have to care!
