Meet Ashley Sorenson, a Core & Pelvic Floor Corrective Exercise Specialist as well as Mrs. Washington County 2024 who very much enjoys the recreation that Southern Utah offers her family. When she worked in an OBGYN clinic and as a physical trainer early in her career, she observed a severe gap in the care that mothers receive for their emotional and physical postpartum recovery. Then Ashley had two healthy children of her own, followed by a miscarriage, from which it became even more apparent that women who suffer pregnancy and infant loss are overlooked by standard healthcare practices. Meet Tia, a Utah native who is sure to beat you at any Seinfield trivia! She and her husband, Logan, had welcomed both a boy and a girl into their family so with their third pregnancy they'd decided to keep the gender a surprise. Tia's pregnancies cause her extreme sickness, and this one was no different. So by the time she went in for her final full-term checkup she was very in-tune with her body. Meet Jessica, a mama of three that enjoys her beautiful home of Salt Spring Island, Canada through hobbies such as running, hiking, and gardening. Upon the healthy delivery of her first child, it was discovered that there was a velamentous cord which is an abnormal insertion of the umbilical cord into the placenta. During her second pregnancy, the rare occurrence of sequential valementous cord was revealed during an ultrasound but Jessica remained hopeful due to the success of her previous birth.
