"TV will rot your brains"

The typical warning that every one of us has heard at one time or another from a parent, concerned that our constant intake of Ren & Stimpy and Are You Afraid Of The Dark was going to destroy our retinas and turn our gray matter to mush. If you're anything like us, your response to your parents would always be the same, "Mom..... Death to videodrome, long live the new flesh." At which point your parents immediately threw out the television and got you the best therapist money could buy. Total overreaction.

This week grabbed some Altered Contact Tart IPA from Elysian Brewing, and killed some braincells with a couple of flicks about the dangers of the small screen. Cheers!!!

Two and a half weeks ago, the world lost Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. As massive fans of the band, we decided to dedicate an episode to the untimely passing of the time keeper. Get it? it's a drumming joke.... Sigh. Sorry guys, we're just bummed out still... so sit back with the Foo's new movie Studio 666, crack a South of Eleven 666 IPA and lets toast to the life of one of the greatest drummers of our generation. Horror, it seems, can be found anywhere these days. Anywhere from the news to grandma's sock drawer, there never seems to be a shortage of things that will truly scare you. This week we went to the theaters to see a flick that has so much horror in its DNA that its hard to even call it a comics book movie, and we paired it up with it's kissing cousin....the monster movie version. So sit back and grab your Darkest Night Cap, we settled on good ole Guinness (in honor or St. Patty's Day!) and lets crack the cypher of these flicks. Cheers!

I think it's safe to say that we will never be done adding to our Texas Chainsaw Massacre Retrospective. Inevitably they will keep pumping out sequels, and we'll keep watching them. Such is the life a horror fan. Le Sigh. Well, that being said join us this week as we gas up the old saw one more time and see what ole Leatherface has been up to.
