When we elected our officials to officiate over us we are not electing them to govern us, we govern ourselves. We are electing them to fulfill the tasks, or to perform the actions, that we have elected for ourselves as self governors. With that in mind it is important to remember that elected officials serve us. We do not serve them, and we do not depend on them to make the best decisions for us. We have to hold them accountable. They serve us. It’s time that we remembered, and it’s time that we acted on it.
