On this day in 2012, Animation on Display was held at Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco's Japantown. The convention formerly known as Anime Overdose started out at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara in 2003, had a long stint up north in San Francisco from 2005 through 2015, and ended where it started - in 2017 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
