America, America. You're very fabric allows us to stretch you into a new vision of liberty and justice for all. This is my 4th of July Show for this year in which, more than ever, we are realzing that democracy is never stagnant but rather a living, breathing tapestry whose threads are being rewoven into something greater. Our democracy is not stagnant nor does it belong to a few. It is in our hands right now asking that we see ourselves as the architects of a new America that lives up to its highest ideals and releases what no longer serves us.
Ray Charles, The Killers, Bruce Springsteen and others set the musical backdrop to this weekend. Plus, The New Music Spotlight shines bright on Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors and their terrific new tune, Family and Milky Chance teams up with Jack Johnson for their new collaboration, Don't Bring Me Down. And we wrap things up with my mom, The World's Greatest Joke Teller, whose presence in my days is deeply missed, with The Joke of the Week.
This land is your land. This land is my land. Let us join hands and tend to Her needs.
Peace Camille
