The Prime Minister has called the election for May 3rd, and now, the campaign begins. 

Nine's National Affairs Editor Andrew Probyn told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "Your listeners might consider whether they are feeling a bit more uncertain about things and whether that does help the Prime Minister. 

"I think the political thinking would be that it does."

"There has certainly been a bit of a tightening in the polls to Labor's favour in recent weeks, and the Prime Minister is very keen to kind of, curate this image of Peter Dutton being Trumpian with his outlook both on things like migration, defence and the like," Mr Probyn continued.
