By The Campbell Academy- Andy Legg and Colin Campbell
The podcast currently has 8 episodes available.
This week Andy sits down for a virtual chat with Jason Smithson. Jason is know both in the UK and the world over for his composite resin artistry and astounding aesthetic dentistry.
In the podcast we get an insight into how Jason became a global name in dentistry and what makes him tick.
He also answers the important question- Do you put cream or jam on a scone first?
Grab a glass of decent wine (as recommended by Jason) and enjoy.
Following a busy run in to Christmas, Colin and Andy discuss how the Academy has got back to work following the lockdowns and also what we have planned for 2021 (including more regular podcasts!!).
We would like to wish everyone who follows the Academy a Marry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
In this eye opening podcast, I sit down with the one and only Chris Barrow.
Chris is a hugely successful business coach who has had his own ups and downs in business over the last 20 years. In the following 90 minutes I delve into why he thinks he constantly wanted more, how his ego often pushed him into the next 'big' project and why his background may well have had an influence on this need to be in the spotlight.
Chris has often recommended his clients be Bold, Outrageous and Provocative and this podcast is no different. Sit back and enjoy a trip down memory lane with the country's leading dental business coach.
Due to my ineptitude and possibly the interweb being slow, the podcast I had recorded didnt in fact record!
We have therefore recorded a quick 10 minute update on upcoming courses!
Back to normal next time!
Our guest on the podcast this week is a COVID survivor. Alan McGlaughlin is a dentist and practice owner based in Yorkshire. He was admitted to hospital at the end of March and then spent 6 weeks in intensive care. He spent 2 of these weeks intubated on a ventilator and sedated to allow his body a chance to fight the virus.
This week I am delighted to welcome my good friend and fellow implant dentist Dominic O'Hooley to the podcast.
Dom is an implant dentist based in Leeds who, over the COVID lockdown, has become an adopted scientific adviser to the dental profession. This has come about through his self confessed geekiness and need to seek out the truth. He now sits on the Scientific Committee of the newly formed British Association of Private Dentists.
As something of a polymath Dom is a fascinating character on so many levels. In this conversation we discussed many aspects of his life, from his early years, becoming an implant dentist as well has his diagnosis of autism. We also discussed his near-fatal bike accident in 2018.
It was a pleasure to be a part of this conversation and I hope you enjoy getting to know Dom!
In this podcast- Andy and Colin discuss how life has been during lockdown and how dentistry might look when we finally get back to work.
Welcome to the NEW Campbell Academy Podcast.
Here at the Academy we are lucky to meet so many interesting people both dental and non dental and we wanted to share some of those conversations with you.
Our philosophy is to try and positively influence the lives of as many people as possible and we hope this podcast contributes to that in a small way.
Happy Listening!
