Mark Purdon and Oscar Bonivena did something new today, Mark who know lives in Matamata and still training standardbreds has been given the opportunity to train on the Matamata racing club and I was there for their first time on the track.

Nigel Fahey from Breckon Farms joined me for a chat on the hill. A new yearling barn and parade area with a conference / entertainment area that will not only showcase their yearlings but hopefully attract new owners to the sport.
