In Part 1 of our interview with Boreham Wood flying wing-back Kane Smith, Kane discusses the season so far at Meadow Park, including the club's record-breaking FA Cup run and defeat to Millwall, the loss of Sorba Thomas to Huddersfield and playing against former teammates in the National League. Kane previews the upcoming FA Trophy clash with Torquay United and looks back on injury woes and play-off heartbreak, as well as talking about his team-mates and manager Luke Garrard.

Part 2 is out on Wednesday, where we look back on some fond memories from Kane's time at Hitchin Town FC.

The second instalment of the January Interviews sees football commentator, non-league expert and Football Manager researcher Ollie Bayliss on the other end of a Zoom call to Freddie and Marac, who have a range of questions for the Aylesbury United supporter. Firstly, Ollie reacts to the day's breaking news (we recorded this on Friday the 8th) of the increasingly likely possibility of the Step 3 and 4 seasons being declared null and void following a statement from the Trident Leagues. We then discuss all things non-league football- transfers, journeymen, TV coverage, and grounds. The impact of Covid on our local sides is examined, Marac attempts to get a discount on Football Manager, and much, much more.

The vastly experienced talkSPORT International, Women's Championship and EFL commentator Barry Swain joins Freddie and Marac on a Zoom call for the first of 4 January Interviews. Barry discusses commentating on games behind closed doors, the differences between TV and radio commentaries and his time at Hitchin Town FC when he was younger. He was full of praise for HTFC Radio, but not so much for his beloved Fulham FC. Barry tells us about his favourite players to commentate on as well as co-commentators to work with, and tells some great stories from his time behind the microphone.
