Welcome to The Canine Condition Podcast. My name is Jacqueline Piñol. I am an actor, a documentary filmmaker and an animal rescue advocate.

Our guest on this episode is Cara Schwalbach - Development Director of One Tail At A Time in Chicago, Illinois.

One Tail At A Time  - Their mission is to end pet homelessness by making pet ownership a joyful and accessible experience for all. They focus on vulnerable populations of dogs such as large breed dogs, senior dogs, sick dogs, parvo puppies, pitbulls and neonate kittens. The organization is able to further their mission by rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters while providing the support and resources pet owners need to keep those dogs in forever homes were they are loved and out of the shelters and off the streets.

David is a volunteer, donor and takes care of their media relations. We find out who Sammy is and how this wonderful rescue organization is helping save hundreds of dogs from municipal shelters all over New Jersey.
