Bud can be so beautiful sometimes and this week that was the case. The colours on North 40 Colada from Farmstead were jumping out when I first laid eyes on it. Greens, oranges, purples OH MY!! Grown by North 40 Cannabis is a high end micro cultivator and micro processor. Using the aeroponic method they produce a tasty treat. What is aeroponics? Don't worry we have you covered, and it's very cool. I do wonder why the full name of 'Pina Colada' couldn't be used because of the alcohol drink connection, but yet there is a 'White Russian' strain? If you don't know what a White Russian drink is, please watch The Big Lebowski, which being a cannabis fan, you already should have. North 40 Cannabis sounds like a dope place to work, but you might have to be a family or friend to get a job, it's a really tight knit group. The strain is almost a sativa/indica split, slightly on the sativa side that smells and tastes as good as it looks. A great terpene profile including a rare one for us, Bisabolol. Grab it while you can, it's delicious!!!

Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co brings the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis. We discuss latest the latest innovations, regulations and anything else making some bud-biz-buzz.

There is a lot of doom and gloom right now when it comes to the economy, job market and financial outlook in Canada. Malka is suggesting that cannabis be a boom for our country. Especially when it comes to tax revenue, where more than $1 Billion has been created in Denver since 2014. Alberta has more than 600 stores, which is a lot of jobs and Ontario is soon to go from 100 to 1200 in the coming year. Changemakers highlighted what Malka is trying to do, especially when it comes to a very interesting TV show and in What it Means to be Green we chatted about the colour green and it's connection to spending.

David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Things happen fast in the still developing cannabis industry and we’ll bring you the top stories. 

This week we discussed how some are trying to make it easier to access and understand your medical cannabis. David has previous experience with how difficult it can be, at least in BC, and the Cannabis Standard Index by Reformulary is trying to help patients with their new system. Aurora Cannabis announced it's new CEO and their game plan after a big and seemingly long shake up. There are a lot of great brands under the Aurora and we hoped that the vultures won't start circling and picking them apart. We also resisted a story from last week where some legal retail outlets had asked the RCMP for help in shutting down illicit online stores and more, but now the CEO of one of those retail outlets is walking back her comments and we couldn't figure out why? We wrapped up discussing some of the products that have landed on store shelfs lately and their effectiveness.

It's odd that in every other province (Quebec government is appealing the case they lost) except Manitoba you can grow up to four cannabis plants per household. One man, followed by a growing list of supporters is hoping to change that. Jesse Lavoie is launching a constitutional challenge against the law banning recreational growing, which comes with a fine of more than $2,500. Jesse explained the reasons why home growing isn't allowed (hint, they don't make sense as you are allowed to grow for medicinal purposes) and where he's at with the challenge. He also works for Storz & Bickel and gave a great tip for Volcano users. David Wylie of the oz and I dissected the latest stories on This Week in Cannabis News where the restructuring continues at Aurora, some are trying to make medicinal cannabis easier to understand, a legal retail store owner is walking back her comments about the illicit market and we discuss products we love right now. This stuff looked beautiful, from the greens to orange and purple flecks and it tastes as fruity and sweet as it sounds. There is some hypocrisy going on with the name though, you aren't allowed to call it Pina Colada which is what the strain really is, but White Russian is allowed? Anyway, it's grown using Aeorponics - another new term to learn - and it's grown well.
