In this episode, we are joined by Gianni Del Rosario Makridis. Gianni is a true plant enthusiast, who is currently pursuing his PhD in the genetics of medicinal cannabis at La Trobe University. He has dedicated his life to unlocking the therapeutic benefits of plants, and his work is aimed at discovering new and exciting therapies for patients. Gianni's journey into the world of plants began after working in the freight forwarding sector for a decade. He realised that he wanted to follow his passion for plants, and made the decision to switch to plant science. He graduated with First-Class Honours in botany at the end of 2017, and since then, he has been researching cannabis trichome genetics as a full-time Ph.D. candidate and teaching plant molecular biology to undergraduates as a casual academic.

In this episode, we are joined by Nahúm Felipe Ospina. Felipe is an entrepreneur, cannabis advisor, and public speaker. He is currently the Director of Business Development at Colombian Organics. Colombian Organics is an organic cannabis company with more than 25 years of experience in the cultivation and global export of cutting flowers. In this episode, we are joined by Ruth Fisher Ph.D. Ms. Fisher is an economist with a passion for understanding how components of systems work together to create outcomes. She is the principal at Quantaa. Quantaa applies economic modeling and game theory to assess system dynamics. In this episode, we are joined by Professor Dr Markus Veit. Prof. Dr. Markus Veit is the managing director of ALPHATOPICS GmbH. He studied pharmacy in Frankfurt, obtained his doctorate at the Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg, and habilitated there. He is a pharmacist with special training and experience in pharmaceutical analysis and validation. He is a member of the German pharmacopeial expert committee at BfArM. In the past 25 years, he has worked as a managing director in companies providing services for the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on pharmaceutical development, testing, and regulatory affairs.
