During the summer, Cannes transforms into a playground for the ultra-rich and internationally famous, with beachfront hotels like the Carlton standing as both icons of elegance and, as it turns out, perfect marks for the bold and the brazen. It’s a place where diamonds sparkle, and sometimes disappear.

Boulevardier (Cocktail)

• 1 part bourbon

• 1 part sweet vermouth

• 1 part campari

• orange twist for garnish

1. Combine the bourbon, sweet vermouth, and campari in a mixing glass filled with ice.

2. Stir the mixture well until it is thoroughly chilled.

3. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.

4. Garnish with an orange twist.

• 1 part grape juice

• 1 part tart cherry juice

• orange twist for garnish
