Eric has been exploring the Glacier area and other parts of Montana and Idaho. We talk about some of his first descents and other adventures he had this year and some of the major lessons he learned. Especially when he did Heaps in Zion with a person, he had never canyoned with. We talk about the new website he is working with routes and ethics for Montana.

I am starting a mini-series about flash floods to raise awareness about the crazy desert rains. This episode I tell my personal story about a flash flood in Rock Canyon while guiding in my early days. Please know the weather for the drainage you plan to drop into.

Z broke his ankle in Mystery Canyon. It hurt really bad!! He was trying to steam over a shallow pothole so he would get wet. He would have to get wet later in the canyon anyway. He said in hide sight he would have just gone through the shallow pool knowing he would have to get wet later. The risk was not worth the consequence that day. He was able to hike out with the help of his amazing Crue.

Today I chat with Wild Sky Adventures owner Sam Keller. We chat about canyons all over the world, including North Wash and Zion in Utah, Pacific North west and Washington, Spain Portugal Mijorca and more. His team has come up with The Maiorca Challege a workshop for Hightschool age students to learn teamwork, overcoming fears and obstacles, while getting through the challenging canyons.
