Todays Classic Car Dr episode begins with Ron's telling of the tale and answers the question of what is the hardest vehicle to repair.  A 2000 Ford E150 Van with a new engine that doesn't run and was towed in from another shop. He walks us through some detailed diagnosis and provides the how and why along the way. He also dives into an explanation of how and why a vehicle computer fault code occurs.
He opens the phones with a call this episode that comes from Vic in Idaho with concerns about his 2011 Ford Taurus SHO. Classic Car Dr 10122014  1st Hour,  1st Half - Todays Classic Car Dr episode begins with Ron's telling of the tale and answers the question of what is the hardest vehicle to repair.

Ron starts this episode talking about Kia recalling Telluride vehicles that can roll away when placed in park. Next, its a return call from Esther to say thank you for Ron's help in finding a climate control module for an 03 Anniversary Edition Corvette. She was able to find the part and wants everyone to know where she found it. Ron then goes into a talk about a vehicle in the shop this week, an 06 Magnum SRT8 and how it was hard to find parts, even simple ones like lug nuts; even Chrysler had trouble coming up with them. His next problem to solve this week is a call on a 17 Kia Sportage that has had 2 cylinder head failures and goes into limp mode. Ron call s them like he sees them and challenges the caller to take umbrage with the repair shops description.  Ron then goes back in time and takes a call on a 94 Civic with intermittent start and helps break it down into simple for all to hear. Ron then recounts finding a correct battery for a 2019 Toyota RAV4 by using www.autobatteries.com   as a reference source.  He also talks about a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe that had a loud whirring noise and the steps he went through to solve. He closes out the hour answering an email on 02 E-150 van where the person changed the gear ratio in the rear differential and is looking to calibrate the speedometer correctly.

Ron starts this episode talking about the value in following a diagnostic routine on a  consistent basis to diagnose and fix a vehicle. He recounts a car from the shop this week as an example; a 2016 Mini Cooper with a rear wiper problem. Then he takes a call on an 2007 Mustang GT500 where the cruise control is not working. Ron then talk to a listener that has a whistling  2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport, even if the car is not moving. In the news this week Ron covers a story of a possible power emergency in the Texas electrical grid and how it could be related to the EV world. Showing us all that vehicle age has no relevance to a diagnostic approach, he walks us through the steps of what to look for in this no crank, no start vehicle. Ron then goes to Iowa on call to discuss synthetic engine oil, air filters and Nitrogen fill for tires with a caller. 
He closes it out today talking with a listener in California. The listener has an F150 Pickup with a different engine from the factory install. One of the problems is with the emission control system and how to connect. Ron offers some insight and explains the process.
