Welcome back to Episode 18 of the Card Hedge Podcast! In this episode, Omar and JD get back to basics and discuss a variety of topics from Brock Purdy to highlighting insert sets that each guy believes is worthwhile for collectors to take a look at.

Hype has driven the sports card industry for years and it is no different now with San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy. What’s interesting about Brock Purdy though is the lack of rookie cards he has in the various sports cards sets available to collectors and investors. Since he was the last pick of the draft, his rookie card offerings are scarce. This presents a unique situation as the demand for his cards could potentially out-pace the supply (although Panini is still probably printing them as we speak!!!)

In the second half of the show, the guys discuss insert sets from the 90s. Known for crazy designs and rarity, the craze of the 90s is still alive and well today. The guys have added this segment to the show moving forward and will highlight a new set each week.
