We welcome native Chicagoan, Nathan Fluellen to The Career Salon for this special episode. Nate is the creator, executive producer and host of World Wide Nate: African Adventures, streaming on Amazon Prime. He has visited 60 countries and 6 continents.

Nate is also the owner of the first Black-owned surf performance swimwear line, Kavata Swimwear. The brand name was inspired by and is in honor of his sister, Laini Kavata Fluellen, who passed away from Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2009. Ten percent of each Kavata sale is donated to Laini Fluellen Charities, a 501C-3 organization dedicated to providing funding for continued research for TNBC, as well as educational resources for newly diagnosed patients.
