‎It is important to know that even in God’s family, there is room for romantic love.

But if we are going to do it right, we have to know God’s perspective: How should love be treated? How should we, His children, love, care for, and cleave to one another?

In addition to this teaching, "Valentine Letters" are addressed to both singles and couples.

Our reverence for God is based on our ability to discern His activities in a place. Worshipping God is not just about singing. Worship is a life of sacrifice and reverence to God.

Showing reverence to God’s systems and structures in the church is how you show reverence for Him. Our actions substantiate our honour for God and His people.

The danger of a lack of honour for church leadership is that it could lead to the restriction of the flow of the Spirit, misalignment, and more.

Marriage has a divine purpose, but we confuse the tool with the purpose. There is so much misinterpretation about the role of marriage and the role of a helper in marriage. 

These and more about the family unit are addressed in detail:

1. Family is crucial to God’s plan on the earth.

2. Lineage is crucial to the spirit realm. 

3. God established standards for their order because God’s purpose depends on families.

In this teaching, we discuss the early church and some of the things they did together. As a believer, you should be joyful about your community, your church. Oikia denotes fellowship, the family of God. 

Some of the things the early church did together were:

1. They lived as one family in unity.

2. They took care of each other’s needs.

3. They honoured the leadership and spiritual authority.

4. They prayed for one another.

God has a household, a family. By nature, God is relational. Even in eternity, God exists as the Trinity.

Apart from the Trinity and even before God created humans, there were other divine beings He created. There is a family in heaven. When He created man, the plan was to extend His family to the earth.

But when man fell, he turned away from God’s plan. Man started building families and living for their own names, survival, and self-preservation,  rather than for the glory of God. But Jesus came to bring God’s family back to order.  Anyone who believes that Jesus died and resurrected has been called back to the family of God.

There are a few things you must think about when you think of being part of His family:

1. God is intimate and jealous.

2. God is Lord, but He is also Daddy.

3. You belong to a family where you have siblings.

Apostle Paul urges us not to be ignorant about spiritual gifts. We are built upon the foundation of the apostles, Christ being the chief cornerstone.

Spiritual gifts are not a luxury but a necessity. 

In "Babylon", you must be a person of power, not just excellence and integrity, because power opens doors that others cannot.

The purpose of our assignment while in “Babylon” is extremely delicate to be mediocre about.

Excellence is required of every believer in whatever their hands find to do.

As you listen to the Word of God, keep it at the forefront of your mind so that it can correct and guide your actions towards being excellent in your field.

There are some things highlighted in this teaching that excellence will do for you. They are:

1 . Excellence will call the attention of the world to you,

2 .Excellence gives you access, and

3. Excellence makes you memorable.

The exposition on Babylon as an archetype continues in this teaching.

One of the clearest instructions for living in Babylon is seen in what the Jews call the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4-9) because Babylon is beyond just a city. It is a system.

Some things to look out for in "Babylon" include:

-  Human power exalted above God.

-  Progress detached from righteousness.

-  Security is built on oppression.

-  Violence is displayed as a necessity.

-  Pride excused as wisdom.

Knowing about this system of "Babylon" and of the antichrist should lead us to three things:

1.  You have to conquer money. Don’t let money own you or control your life. 

2.  Learn to discern the Babylon of your time.

3.  You have to learn to keep your integrity despite being in Babylon.

God ordered the world with his light, but in sin, man refused God’s light and brought darkness into the human experience. 

This sermon aims to answer the question: "What has God done with the darkness He has bound?" The concept of archetypes is explained and emphasized as this question is addressed.

Archetypes are historical events, figures, or patterns of divine action that became a repeated template through which Bible authors interpreted new events. 

So whatever God did about darkness in the human experience was already shown in history. 

Babylon is an archetype, a system used to describe darkness with a structure. It is used to explain how human rebellion becomes systematic, organized, and self-sustaining.

In God’s design, God wants mankind to govern what He has created to continue shining God’s light. But what happened? Man sinned. Human rebellion brought in darkness. Darkness that was once bounded began to expand into human experience.

There are three things to note from this:

1.  Man was created into God’s light and order.

2.  Man’s function is to facilitate that order and reflect that light.

3.  When God’s order is rejected, darkness can rule.

Darkness became something people loved. But God had a plan. The solution to the darkness in the world is the Light of God; he came into the world to bring that light.

Jesus is God’s salvation to the world. He’s the solution to all the world’s problems.
