Very helpful!
I have not read Catcher in The Rye and from all the notoriety I feel I am well informed. should be
more apt to see this as Salinger meant for us to.

Wish I Had This Guide In High School
When I first read "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Sallinger in my tenth grade Lit. class, I enjoyed it immensely. This didn't mean I understood all of Holden Caulfield's ramblings and sad adventures--not enough to be productive in a class discussion or in writing an analysis essay. I had to pick up "The Catcher In The Rye" again for a college literature course, and I came across this study guide when I browsed the net for supplemental literature. I am so happy I chose this guide as my supplemental companion--it answered so many of my questions about Caulfield's predicaments and the themes in this novel.
If you're reading this classic for a course, I highly recommend this study guide.
Not what I wanted.
I wanted the original book.
MISLEADING
Totally misleading. I'm just trying to buy THE BOOK. I want my money back even though it's only $3. I feel I was mislead.
A Brilliant Review
This review follows the book The Catcher in the Rye, it helped to understand Holden Caulfield and the decline in his mentality as he tried to find a real world. I also found it helpful to explain why the book was banned when it first came out, and how it was tied to the shootings of both Ronald Reagan and John Lennon.
