OCIA Class 12-11-2025

Hi everyone, we are using this podcast platform to help cover OCIA, if you are looking for the regular episodes of the Catholic Connection look for the typical icons.  These other episodes will be for the OCIA candidates, though of course anyone may listen if they like.

ANNOUNCEMENTS for December 6-7 

1. Faith Formation—We won’t be meeting the rest of December.

2. Masses for the Immaculate Conception: 9am OLF and noon and 6pm at SJ.

3. CCW is hosting a Christmas Market this Saturday, Dec. 6thfrom 9am-2pm. 

4. 55+ is having an event on Dec. 6th. See the bulletin for details.

Announcements:

1. Thanksgiving Day Mass at 8 AM at SJ.

2. No Daily Mass on Friday after Thanksgiving (28th).

3. Christmas Market will be at SJ on Saturday Dec. 6th after the 8 AM first Sat. Mass.  Pick up fresh baked goods and cookies and other crafts.  This is a fundraiser for the CCW.

4. Heads up that Dec. 8th is a Holy Day of Obligation, the Immaculate Conception.  Masses at 9 AM OLF, noon and 6 PM at SJ.

ANNOUNCEMENTS for November 1-2

1. Faith Formation—FORMATION Night is this Wednesday. Dinner at 530 and class from 6:15-7:30pm.

2. SJ’s is hosting a 3-part Luncheon Series on Life after Death-both spiritual and practical help in looking at death. The first one is this Tuesday at 1230 in the social hall. Call the office to register-no fee but we’d like to know how many to plan for.

3. The Ministries Appeal: congrats to SJ: we’ve exceeded our goal. Thank you!

(OLF) We’re about $500 away, let’s try to make it this weekend.

4. First Friday is this Friday, November 7th. Mass at 9am at OLF and the usual 8am at SJ.

5. In November we remember our deceased loved ones. Enter their names in the book at the entrances of both churches.

1. Faith Formation—GROUP Night is this Wednesday, Oct. 29th. Several options to choose from. 6:15-7:30pm. Scan the QR code on the bulletin boards for up-to-date details of what each group will be doing each month.

2. OCIA: still time if you’re interested. Contact me or the office if you’re interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the faith.

3. Book of Remembrance in the narthex. Mass on Saturday, Nov. 1st at 8am followed by rolls/coffee downstairs.

4. All Saint’s Day party here at SJ on Friday, Oct. 31st from 6-8pm. Come dressed as your favorite saint-food, games, prizes and contests.

5. (SJ) CCW has Support Sunday envelopes in the pews this weekend. Please be generous if you can.

(OLF) There are envelopes at the entrances to support CCW. Although the one here at OLF is inactive, the funds will support the chapter at SJ.

1. Faith Formation—off the next 2 Wednesdays. ENCOUNTER Night returns on Oct. 22nd. Open to all. 6:15-7:30pm. Music, confession, testimony and adoration.

2. No Mass on Tues and Wed this week. Back to schedule with 8am Mass a SJ on Th and F.

3. KC Annual Fall Dinner is this Sunday, Oct. 12 from 930am-1pm. Tickets available at the door.

4. October is the Month of the Rosary and we’ll have a Theology on Tap & Uncorked event on Saturday, Oct. 25th at SJ to celebrate and learn about our Lady of Victory and the Battle of Lepanto. See the bulletin for details. 6p start.

5. (CC announcement): There is still seats available for the Women’s Retreat this Saturday. Registration will be taken at the door ($30) starting at 830, Oct. 11 at SJ social hall. Mass with Bishop Felton is open to all the parish at 4pm.
