This week on the Catholic Life Coach Podcast, I’m sharing something that God placed so clearly on my heart: the truth that rest is not a luxury. It’s holy.

Over the summer, I took a step back from the podcast.

I rested, spent more time with my family, and let God show me what He wanted for this next season.

My love, the world wants us to believe that rest is a luxury, but the truth is rest is essential. It’s where we reconnect with God, refuel our hearts, and remember who we are in Him.

I’ll admit something upfront: I’m not naturally joyful all the time. Even growing up in Venezuela, where most people seem to radiate happiness, I’ve had my fair share of days where I focus on what’s missing instead of what’s good. Yes, my brain loves to do that thing it does.

But here’s the thing: joy is a skill. It’s something we practice. And God gives us so many little tools to help us do it.

In this episode, I share a few of my favorite ways like how simplifying your schedule can actually give you more peace than a week at a spa, and why doing something kind for someone else instantly boosts your happiness.

🧠 Decluttering Your Mind: Minimalism for the Soul

Kylie talks about the mental clutter we all carry — those thoughts of not doing enough or letting God down.

We stay busy to avoid it. Sometimes even prayer feels hard because slowing down brings up everything we’re trying to ignore.
