Harvey Davis is our guest this week, a man who played 44 games in the hoops over a five-year period from 1973 to 1977.

Recruited from local league club Newtown & Chilwell, Harvey played his first senior game for Geelong in the great Graham ‘Polly’ Farmer’s first season as coach of the Cats.

With Polly moving on after three years at the helm, Harvey enjoyed his most productive season in 1976 with 18 games under the auspices of first-year coach Rodney Olsson.

Upon departing Kardinia Park, he returned to Newtown & Chilwell playing a key role in the club’s 1978 premiership success.
