In May, the Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer (AEB) Index survey asked farmers to identify the main factor limiting improvement in their farm’s financial situation. High input costs were by far the most frequently cited constraint, selected by 46% of respondents. A new case of New World Screwworm has been detected in a young, 1 month old calf in Zavala County, Texas, 5.6 miles from the first positive case of screwworm in Texas, which the USDA confirmed on Wednesday.
