Are you tired of being continually plugged in? Technology fatigue, technostress, digital fatigue … no matter what you call it, it’s all depleting. In many instances, we have had no choice but to spend more time on our computers for work, school and socializing and it’s proving to be exhausting and mentally draining.
This week Danielle & Renee share their experiences of digital burnout and why they are choosing to head outside instead of logging in.
According to Katrina German (katrinagerman.com) to help combat the exhaustion of technology, you need to take charge, build some boundaries and disconnect as needed:
Zoom Fatigue: Take breaks and ask people to switch to phone calls as an alternative.
Turn off your apps/news notifications: Schedule time to return messages and check social media. Let this be your permission slip to unplug.
Ergonomic Desk Setup: A good desk set up is key to keeping your mind, body and spirit healthy.
Sleep Hygiene: Turn off technology at least 30 minutes before bed.
Digital Detox: If you feel depressed, anxious or angry after spending time on social media or browsing online – STEP AWAY! Limit social media interaction and engagement – it’s good for your soul 😊
Remember to breathe. Technology will always be there; you’re not missing out. Your mind, body and spirit thank you.
Danielle & Renee are taking a digital break! Renee will join you on July 1st and then the girls are taking the summer off, back for SEASON 3 of The Cauldron Podcast in September.
