The economy is in the dumper. In spite of the MSM's efforts to gaslight us, we know things are bad. A Catch-22 emerges: clients have less money to spend yet it takes more money to live. Some folks are trying to overcome this by issuing a minimum charge. Is this a good idea? Or does it turn too many prospects off?

Yeah, I bet they have cuz lil boi got rolled. Did he do this on his own or was he prompted to do this? For me, it's tone deaf and I have to wonder what the thought process was. I'm sure he had no negative intent, but good grief.

Had I been allowed to comment, I would have reminded everyone of the time when Phil Gramm told the US that we were in "a mental recession" and not a real recession back in 2008. 🤦🏻‍♀️

➡️ Some areas are still without power post-tornado. Some of those folks have been told, "You need to call an electrician for yourself." 😐

➡️ I saw people even younger than me at the heart hospital. I think we have a pretty good idea what is going on here.

➡️ Pre-tornado, we were seeing a decline in properties. Houses where no one was putting forth any effort.

➡️ "A sign of labor marketing weakening." Uh, the job market is in the toilet, dude.

I often talk about bad freelancing clients (and how we can hopefully avoid them). However, this is a two-way street. With the job market being as it is, there's so much bad behavior and chicanery on BOTH sides of the equation. This does not have to be you!

 🔮 Prediction alert: the freelancing market is only going to get more crowded as we continue with layoffs, company closures, inflation, etc.
