CELTIC GOT BACK to winning ways at the weekend and crucially the manager was able to call on the services of two big players who could yet have a big part to play in Celtic's chase for the Treble.

Paulo Bernardo adds guile and a touch of class to the midfield, while Forrest brings a tonne of experience and quality in the wide areas and the manager will be delighted by their return.

After chalking up their latest 3 points the Bhoys are now closing in on the title with a 13 point gap and just 7 games remaining as they head towards a fourth successive title.

The Scottish Cup is on the back burner until April's visit to Hampden where we'll face St Johnstone, but the prospect of yet another Cup Final is one for all to look forward to.

CELTIC TOOK a big step closer to the title with a comprehensive win over Hearts at Celtic Park and Daizen Maeda was the main man once again with another double on the day.

Its now 30 for the season for the Japanese hitman and he's showing no signs of slowing down as he cruises towards being crowned Scotland's undoubted Player of the Year.

Elsewhere Callum McGregor reminded us what he offers with an assured performance in the heart of the midfield, with young goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo keeping a clean sheet on his first league start.

Celtic should have stormed to yet another victory in last week's Glasgow Derby, yet somehow conspired to lose all 3 points in a result that caught many of us off guard.

IF YOU THOUGHT CELTIC couldn't turn in another performance like the one we saw at Ibrox back in January then think again.

But once again that was the case - at least for the first half of Sunday's Derby - and fans were left scratching their heads once more at our recent failings in this fixture.

For a side who are cruising to a fourth consecutive league title its a puzzler at best, and one that Brendan Rodgers will want to find the answer to ASAFP.

In addition to the events of the game itself we also discuss an off field incident regarding what seems to be some heavy handed policing of the Green Brigade in the hours before kick off, which ultimately led to their members missing the game in its entirety.

CELTIC HOLD AN incredible 16 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with just 9 games remaining and are now in touching distance of a fourth consecutive title.

A win on Sunday against second placed Rangers would almost certainly put it to bed which would be a suitable reward for a side who have dominated from start to finish this season.

Daizen maeda goes in to the game in the form of his life but it could also be a big day for guys like Arne Engels, the returning Jota and Jeffrey Schlupp who looks set to make his debut in this fixture.
