She uses only natural hair (also known as “virgin” hair) that has never been altered by a chemical process or doesn’t have any silicone coating. It’s the best type of hair that is easy to look after, extremely durable and is of the highest possible quality.

Blazed had a very humble beginning.. Brooke started by selling the clothing from her own wardrobe to make enough money to fund her first collection which she had intended to have designed and manufactured. She quickly realized that the process would be very costly and greenwashing made it difficult to know if she would be working with people who share her ethics and focus on sustainability. Brooke decided to start with vintage instead which has been such an amazing place for her to be! She also decided on Blazers because they were the items she couldn't let go of, they never really go out of style and always make her feel strong and powerful when she wears them.
Brooke sources vintage blazers from around the globe and currently works with a team of 3 women to up-cycle each one and make them even more beautiful and unique! Working with a team who are located nearby allows Brooke to be really creative and she can also ensure that her team are paid a living wage and have safe conditions to work in! They do something different to each blazer that they sell; things like cropping, changing buttons, taking them in at the waist, removing sleeves, etc.
Blazed is about blazing a new trail in fashion. They breathe new life into items that would have otherwise ended up in landfill and Brooke loves seeing her customers reinventing the blazer in their own unique way. Their blazers are one of a kind just like the women who wear them!
