Often, the best display of God’s work is in our weakness. It’s our imperfections that make us human and relatable. Our struggles and inadequacies unite us in our pursuit of becoming more like Christ. Knowing you have weaknesses is not disqualifying; it’s a qualifier for being used by God. As we acknowledge our limitations, we learn to rely on the power of God rather than our own strength. Which is what the story of Gideon is all about. God’s grace covers our imperfections, and then He invites us to be a part of His great work on Earth. It’s an immense blessing and commissioning.

I'm going to use King Josiah's story to encourage you today! We've all had times in our lives when God's Word gets overlooked or covered up by busyness and tasks. God can help us by "cleaning out the temple" and allowing Him to make room for the essential things in our lives.

I believe that everyone is capable of being a champion of faith, but it takes bravery. It also takes faith and courage. We need to expect God to place situations and circumstances in our lives that require action on our part. We need to expect to get out of the boat and leave some things behind so that we can unapologetically follow Him.

Champions of Faith started in 2022 as an event at Fair Park Baptist Church. The Women’s Ministry had a vision and made it come to life. Now, this event is in a sell-out capacity and God is doing incredible things through obedience and willing servants.
