On this episode of The Change Blueprint, we sit down with Edward D. Gibbs, President and CEO of Gib-San Pools—one of the most innovative leaders in the international pool industry. Ed began working at Gib-San in the early 1980s while attending school and university. After 15 years of learning the business from the ground up, he purchased the company from his father in 1993.
Since then, Ed has redefined what leadership in a traditional industry can look like. A Past President of the Pool and Hot Tub Council of Canada and former Chairman of the Master Pools Guild, Ed has been recognized with the Industry Achievement Award and is a proud member of TEC Canada and the Ivey Business School’s Quantum Shift program for high-growth entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, Gib-San became the first pool company in the world to achieve ISO certifications across four key areas: Quality Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, and Information Security.
Welcome to The Change Blueprint—where we turn organizational uncertainty into opportunity. Whether you're navigating growth or managing transformation, this episode offers a front-row seat to Ed’s blueprint for building a resilient company culture, leading through change, and setting new global standards in a legacy industry. No complex theories—just practical strategies you can implement today.
