James and Shrehan discuss the issues of representation and non-diversity in the domain of physical education, the traditional assumptions that we make and how to challenge them. Shrehan helps us to look to the future and consider what PE might look like in a more balanced and equitable model.
Shrehan is a physical education lecturer and teacher educator at UEL, very close to the 2012 Olympic site in Stratford. Shrehan teaches trainee teachers across a variety of course programmes and has a particular interest in the sociocultural aspects of PE. Shrehan is also a founder member of PhysEquity (formerly BAMEPE), a social change movement with the aim of equitable physical education.
James is a PE teacher of 17 years' experience and the founder of The EverLearner Ltd as well as the creator of TheEverLearner.com and ExamSimulator, services used in over 50% of all PE departments in the UK.
